The History of Indoor Soccer.....Indoor soccer as it is played today began in the Philadelphia Spectrum during the winter of 1974 when the Philadelphia Atoms of the North American Soccer League hosted the Soviet Red Army team.  Over 13,000 fans witnessed the historic "first" .  Among those in attendance were Earl forman and Ed Tepper, future founders of the first professional indoor soccer league in this country.
